Use this guide when you want to share a Zoom event recording with selected customers or attendees after an event has ended.
How recording access works
Servv can help you create a Recording product from available Zoom recording files. Zoom still controls the original cloud recording file and any Zoom-level access settings such as registration approval, passcodes, or cloud recording permissions.
Create a recording in Servv
In Shopify admin, open Apps, then open Servv.
In the Servv navigation, select Services.
Select Create event.
Choose Recording.
On the New Recording page, enter the recording Title.
Add a Short Description so customers know what the recording includes.
Enter the Price. Use 0 if the recording should be free for selected attendees.
In Attached files, choose the recording file you want to include from Available files.
Select Add beside the file you want to attach.
Set Email notifications to Enabled or Disabled, depending on whether customers should receive email updates.
Save or create the recording.
Choose the right recording file
The Available files list shows recent recording files that Servv can find from connected Zoom recordings. You may see both MP4 video files and M4A audio files for the same session. Choose the file type you want customers to access.
Limit who receives the recording
To share the recording only with people who should receive access, use one of these approaches:
If the recording should be sold or distributed through Shopify, create the Recording product in Servv and share it only with the intended customers or collection.
If the recording should only be available to approved Zoom registrants, keep Zoom registration approval or passcode protection enabled on the Zoom recording.
If only attendees should receive the recording, review the event registrants or attendee list before sending the recording product link or Zoom recording link.
Recommended setup
For the cleanest customer experience, create the Recording in Servv, attach the correct Zoom recording file, and only share the product or access link with the attendees or customers who should receive it.
If you need strict attendee-only approval, keep Zoom-level recording registration or approval enabled as an extra protection layer.
