Create a recording product in Servv

Create a Shopify recording product in Servv by attaching an available Zoom recording file from the New Recording page.

Use this guide to create a recording product in Servv from a Zoom cloud recording file.

Before you start

Make sure your Zoom account is connected to Servv and that the recording you want to use is stored in Zoom cloud recording. Servv can only show recording files it can access from connected Zoom recordings.

Create a recording product

  1. In Shopify admin, open Apps, then open Servv.

  2. In the Servv navigation, select Services.

  3. Select Create event.

  4. Choose Recording.

  5. On the New Recording page, enter the Title.

  6. Add a Short Description for the recording.

  7. Enter the Price. Use 0 if this should be a free recording product.

  8. In Attached files, review the Available files list.

  9. Select Add beside the MP4 or M4A file you want to attach.

  10. Set Email notifications to Enabled or Disabled.

  11. Save or create the recording.

Choosing files

The Available files list may show more than one file for the same Zoom session. MP4 files are video recordings. M4A files are audio-only recordings. Attach the file type that matches what customers should receive.

After the recording is created

The recording appears under Services in the Recordings tab. Shopify will also have a product for the recording so customers can purchase or access it from your store.

Customer access

When customers buy or receive access to the recording, Servv can send the recording access information by email if Email notifications are enabled.

Troubleshooting

If the recording file does not appear in Available files, confirm that the meeting was recorded to Zoom cloud storage and that the connected Zoom account has access to that recording.
