How to create an event in Servv

Create a standard event in the Servv Shopify app from Services, including event details, date and time, recurrence, notifications, and filters.

Written by Support

Use this guide to create a standard event in the Servv Shopify app. If you want to create a Zoom-connected session instead, choose Zoom event from the Create event menu.

Before you start

Make sure Servv is installed in your Shopify admin and that you have access to the Servv app navigation.

Create a new event

  1. In Shopify admin, open Apps, then open Servv.

  2. In the Servv navigation, select Services.

  3. Select Create event.

  4. Choose Event.

Servv may also show these options in the Create event menu:

  • Event: use this for a standard event.

  • Zoom event: use this for an online event connected to Zoom.

  • Webinar: use this for webinar-style sessions.

  • Recording: use this when you want to create a recording product.

Add event details

On the New Event page, complete the Event details section:

  1. Enter the event Title.

  2. Add a Short Description that customers will understand on your storefront.

  3. Enter the Price.

  4. Enter the Quantity if you want to limit availability. If quantity is not tracked, Servv will show that below the field.

Set date and time

In the Date and Time section:

  1. Choose the Start date.

  2. Enter the Start time and select am or pm.

  3. Select the correct Time Zone.

  4. Set the Total Duration in hours and minutes.

Choose recurrence

In the Recurrence section, choose One-Time for a single event or Recurring for a repeating event.

Recurring events may require a plan that includes the recurring events feature.

Add optional settings

Before saving, review these optional settings:

  • Custom fields: add extra information fields for the event if needed.

  • Notification: connect Google Calendar from Settings if you want calendar notifications.

  • Email notifications: choose whether email notifications are Enabled or Disabled.

  • Filters: create or apply filters if you want to control where the event appears.

Save the event

After all required fields are complete, save or create the event. The event will appear under Services with its title, date, time, duration, type, and status.
